Official: NTR and Gopichand teamed up for 'Kaththi'
Tamil film Kaththi starring Vijay and Samantha was a huge hit in the Kollywood and all the top heroes from different industries have lined up to bag the remake rights of the film. Kaththi remake has been in discussions since the movie has released. Earlier we had heard the names of Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun for the film.
Power star Pawan Kalyan was supposed to act in''Kaththi remake but he opted out of the project due to unknown reasons. Now as per reports youngtiger Jr NTR was keen on remaking the film in Telugu. Going by the reports this remake film will be directed by Malineni Gopichand of Balupu fame.'If everything goes well, the regular shooting is expected to start soon as the director is busy with his upcoming film 'Pandaga Chesko', starring Ram in a lead role.
Tagore Madhu and Nallamlupu Buji will produce this action entertainer. An official confirmation is awaited regarding the same. If the "Kaththi" remake materialises, the movie will be the first remake ever for Jr NTR.
"Kaththi" starring Vijay and Samantha in the lead was released last year and the movie was one of the biggest hits of the year. It would be interesting to see if the Telugu version will have Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead, like in Tamil version.
