Three more held in Eamcet leakage case The Crime Investigation Department on Saturday arrested one important broker in the Telangana State EAMCET-II-2016 (medical) question paper leakage case.
The accused, Sanikam Rajagopal Reddy (65), was arrested from his residence in Bangalore. Earlier he was arrested in several cases of medical entrance exam question paper leakage cases and medical admission irregularities in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh states.
Rajagopal Reddy allegedly organised camp in Bangalore where 14 students procured by Vishnudhar of Hyderabad and 6 students procured by Jyothi Babu of Vijayawada were given practice with leaked TS EAMCET-II-2016 (medical) question papers. He collected an amount of Rs. 1.25 crores so far from Hyderabad and Vijayawada brokers.
Further, one Arigi Venkata Ramanaiah @ Venkata Ramana of Dilshuknagar, who is running 'Resonance Medical Academy' at Dilshuknagar and L.B. Nagar and one Bandaru Ravindra @ Ravi, Mess Incharge of 'Resonance Medical Academy' were also arrested today. They sent 4 students of their academy to Pune camp through Shaik Ramesh @ Raheem for taking practice with leaked TS EAMCET-II-2016 (medical) question papers. They collected Rs. 35 lakhs from 3 students and paid it to Shaik Ramesh @ Raheem.
Efforts are going on to apprehend the other brokers and accused persons of the question paper leakage, the CID said in a press release.
