'Humiliation' drives two women to suicide Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): A minor argument with the landlord allegedly drove a 28-year-old woman to suicide.
The deceased, D. Sujatha, 28, resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Medical Society in Kukatpally police limits on Sunday. Sujatha was allegedly rebuked by her landlord Prasanna Kumar over some minor dispute. Felt insulted, she took the extreme step and reportedly wrote a suicide note on the walls and door of her house blaming the landlord for her death.
Police have registered a case under Section 306 IPC and began investigation.
In another case, Ch. Lalitha, 28, committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison. According to Medipally police, Lalitha, an event organiser, had given a loan of Rs. 45,000 to one Kalyan Reddy a few months ago. She was allegedly abused by Kalyan when she asked him to return the money immediately. Felt humiliated, she consumed the poison at her residence in Peerzadiguda on November 4. She was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where she succumbed on Monday morning.
Medipally police began investigations after registering a case under Section 306 IPC agaisnt Kalyan Reddy.
