Cop, paramour held for immoral trafficking Hyderabad, Aug 20 (INN): A police constable belonging to 5th Battalion of APSP Vizianagaram, D Nageswara Rao and his paramour Kalpana were arrested by Gandhinagar Police for running a flesh trade racket in Hyderabad. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone) Akun Sabharwal, three girls were rescued from the clutches of this couple.
These girls, in the age group of 17 to 20 years hail from Coastal Andhra. They were lured in to the trade by the couple with false promises of a better life.
A case under Sections 3, 4 and 5 of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act was registered at Gandhinagar police station. The constable was already under suspension for being involved in a criminal offence in Vizianagaram. The couple will be produced before a court for judicial custody.
