TANA donates 200 backpacks for needy school children
Phoenix, Aug 23: As part of the community outreach program, TANA donated school back packs to 200 needy school children in Phoenix area.
On Aug 20'th at Cartwright Family Resource Center, under the leadership of Jayaram Kode, TANA Regional Director for Rocky Mountains several local community members enthusiastically participated and handed out school backpacks and supplies to over 200 students. School children started lining up from 6:30 in the morning to receive high quality backpacks and supplies.
'I sincerely thank Jacob A. Chavez -Superintendent of Cartwright School District, Irene G. Rivera - Director of Family Resource Center, our local community members Sashi Devarapally, Sarat Kommineni, Satyanarayana Vasireddy, Sekhar Kolla, Srinivas Modukuri, Venkat Nallapati and Devineni Siva Prasad for actively participating in this community outreach project. This is the first time doing this kind of project in Phoenix area and our special thanks to TANA leadership, Jayaram Komati, Prasad Thotakura, Mohan Nannapaneni and Lakshminarayana Surapaneni, Community Outreach Committee Chair for their help and guidance in making this program successful. It gave us an immense pleasure and a sense of gratification when we handed over the backpacks to needy school children,' said Jayaram Kode, TANA Regional Director, Rocky Mountains area.
