Idols worth lakhs burgled from temple Hyderabad, Aug 26 (INN): Thieves on Thursday targeted the Uddemari Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple at Shamirpet in Ranga Reddy district and escaped with four idols worth lakhs of rupees. According to police, the unidentified miscreants made off with the four idols made of gold and silver. The idols are believed to be worth around Rs 6 lakh.
The theft was discovered early on Thursday morning by residents and the police were informed immediately. The police arrived on the scene and began searching for clues. A case has been registered.
