Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in New Jersey
Edison, NJ, Aug 26: A 9 day celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi will begin on Sept 11th at 5:00 PM, Kalabarathi, a New Jersey based Indian community organization said in a press-release.
The program will continue till Sept 19th and it is open to everybody said the organizers. The event will be conducted every day evening at The Mall at Oaktree, 1710 Oak Tree Road, Edison just as last year and before, Kalabarathi informed.
As part of the program, there will be daily Archana and Bhajans and Cultural events by local Indian artists. Due to environmental and water quality concerns, Ganesh idols for Nimajjan will not be accepted, organizers said.
Kalabarathi is celebrating the Ganesh Charurthi event from 2003 every year. More than 10,000 Indians attend the program during the nine-day event.
