Pastor held in fake currency racket Hyderabad, Aug 27 (INN): Falaknuma police on Friday said that it has nabbed five persons on charges of printing and circulating fake currency on Thursday. According to the police, one of the five accused is the Pastor of a Church. Bonala Sudarshan Rao, Ninavath Tulcha, Kankati Biskshapathi, Kalabhai Ramesh and Chintala Venkatesh were arrested for possessing fake currency making equipment and printing and circulating of counterfeit currency.
Sudarshan Rao has been identified as the Pastor and the ringleader. According to the police, K Bikshapathi and K Ramesh, both residents of Gandhi Nagar at Engine Bowli were nabbed while they were trying to circulate the counterfeit currency of Rs 100 denomination. One hundred currency notes having the face value of Rs 100 denomination were seized from them. Subsequently a a case was registered in Cr No 205/2010 u/s 489 (a) to (e) IPC.
Following their disclosure, the Falaknuma inspector apprehended the main accused B Sudharshan Rao, who is the pastor of a church.
Sudharshan Rao is accused of setting up a printing machinery at his church and started printing counterfeit currency. He kept the currency for circulation through his associates in busy markets. The police arrested a total of five persons and seized the counterfeit currency of Rs 60,650 of Rs 100 and Rs 50 denominations. Further arrests are expected.
