Satyanarayana Vrata Mahostavams in USA

Milpitas, CA: After successful execution of Srinivasa Kalyanam jointly with Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) in New Jersey on 1 May 2010 and in San Jose on 9 May 2010, Telugu Times, the First and Only Global Telugu Newspaper published from New Jersey/ San Jose since Feb 2004 has come up with another unique and most required event schedule for the NRI Telugu community in USA. This time, Telugu Times has tied up with Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Devastanam, Annavaram and propose to conduct Sri Satyanarayana Vrata Mahostavams in USA in October- November 2010 in grand and most authentic manner.

Speaking on this, Sri KV Ramanachari, IAS, Principal Secretary, Revenue (Endowments), Govt of AP said Govt has given orders giving permission to the proposal of Annavram Devastanam & Telugu Times to jointly conduct Sayanarayana Vrata Mahostavam in USA. The organizers are procuring a set of Idols of Lord Satyanarayana Swamy and His Consort Rama Devi and taking Archakas who conduct Vratams at Annavaram Devastanam for USA visit. More over, the entire event schedule is being done in various temples in USA.

Mr Ramachandra Mohan, Executive Officer, Satyanarayana Swamy Devastanam said this proposed USA trip would not only promote Hindu Dharma at large and the significance of Satyanarayana Swamy and the Vratam in USA, but also connect the Devastanam to the NRI Community. The archakas going from the Devastanam would present the Vratam in most authentic manner.

Mr Jayaram Komati, Chairman, Telugu Times said Srinivasa Kalyanam is the divine opportunity to Telugu Times that has given a very good image. After Srinivasa Kalyanam, Satyanarayana Vratam is the most popular community event and almost every Hindu temple in USA perform Vratams.

Bringing Annavaram Devastanam team and conducting Satyanarayana Vratams in various cities in USA is the wish and choice of NRI community and Telugu Times thus approached Devastanam for jointly conducting Vratams in several cities in USA. We have given the responsibility of organizing the Vratams to one temple in each city which handles the promotions, registrations, arrangements etc. Temple after meeting the expenses would also donate of a portion to Devastanam. We are making elaborate arrangements every where to ensure that Vratam is conducted with the auspicious procedure of Devastanam in systematically

We so far we have tied up with Satyanarayana Swamy temple, San Jose for 16 Oct 10 and Laskshmi Narayan Mandir, LA for 17 Oct, Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple, New Jersey for 23 Oct, Sri Venkateswara Lotus Temple in Washington DC for 24 Oct and TAMA in Atlanta for 30 Oct 2010 so far and will be shortly finalizing with temples in Houston, Detroit and Chicago also.
