ACB raids Tax Inspector, unearth assets worth Rs 1.27 cr Hyderabad, Sept 15 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau officials on Wednesday conducted raids on the residence of a Tax Inspector after unearthed movable and immovable property worth around Rs 1.27 crore. The ACB raids began after the agency was tipped off that the TI, identified as D Subhash Rao, resident of Alwal in Hyderabad, has amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. According to ACB sleuths, simultaneous searches were conducted at different places including his office, residence at Alwal, Hyderabad etc.
The raids revealed that Subhash owned one G + 3 house at Alwal, four open plots, eight acres of agricultural land at Jenvada (V), Bidar district of Karnataka, the cumulative worth of which is around Rs 82 lakh. The searches are in progress. He was arrested and produced before Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
