AAPI Annual Gala Dinner on Oct 9th New York, September 19: Federation of Associations of Physicians of Indian Origin-Greater New York-New Jersey, a representative body of about 15,000 physicians of Indian origin, will celebrate its Annual event on October 9, 2010, at Sheraton Hotel, Meadowland, Jersey City, New Jersey.
According to an announced made by Dr. Thomas Alapatt, President of AAPI of Greater New York and New Jersey, the main attraction of the annual celebration will be a special seminar on Womens role in Global Leadership. Ms. Girija Vyas, Chairperson, National Womens Commission of India, will be the key-note speaker at the seminar. Leading women professionals including Dr. K. Guntapalli, Director, American College of Chest Physicians, will participate in this seminar.
Dr. Alapatt said that the main event of the Annual Dinner will be held after the seminar. The Annual Gala Diner is the most important event of the year held by the Federation. It serves as a lively forum for interaction among its members and invited guests who happen to be the leaders in their respective fields of activities, he said. Honorable Vyalar Ravi, Indias Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, will be the key note speaker at the Annual Dinner event.
Prominent public personalities including US Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula, Ambassador Meera Shankar, Dy.
The United States Congress, Indias Deputy Consul-General Dr. A. M. Gondane will grace the occasion with their presence.
Dr. Hemant Patel, Chairman of Charitable Foundation of Federation of AAPI and the Past President of AAPI, who was present at the press conference, highlighted the main features of the forthcoming event and said that it would a memorable event for our members who would get unique opportunity to network with fellow physicians. He said that spectacular entertainment show has been organized to entertain members and the guests. Bollywoods sensational singers Sunidhi Chouhan and Raja Hassan will be the main performers at the show.
Dr. Patel said that more than seven hundred physician-members and their families are expected to attend this event.
