Sub-Inspector bashed up by drunk men Hyderabad, Sept 21 (INN): The police on Tuesday arrested four persons, including a traffic constable in connection with attack on Dabeerpura Sub Inspector V Tirupathi. According to Alwal police station Inspector K Srinivas Rao, four persons, who were in an intoxicated state, had an argument with Dabeerpura Sub-Inspector near the Ganesh pandal in Alwal on Monday night when he was on his way to his residence. The four offenders snatched Mr Tirupathis mobile phone and service revolver and bashed up the SI with empty beer bottles. Mr Tirupathi sustained injuries below the left eye.
The SI lodged a complaint at the Alwal police station in this connection on Monday night. The police immediately swung into action and arrested the four. The accused have been identified as Uday Bhanu, a traffic constable, S Srinu, Prashant and Balesh. They were remanded to judicial custody.
