Mayor felicitates counterparts
Hyderabad, Sept 24 (INN): Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy on Friday felicitated four of her counterparts from Kakinada, Vijayawada, Nellore and Warangal Municipal Corporations since their term of office is about to expire by September 29. Kakinada Mayor K Saroja, Vijayawada Mayor Ratna Bindu, Nellore Mayor Bhanu Sri and Warangal Mayor Yerraballi Swarna were among the 19 Mayors invited by Ms Karthika Reddy, in her capacity as vice-chairperson, All India Mayors Council.
The 15 absentees cited various reasons for not being able to attend the felicitation ceremony. The government has already notified that Special Officers would take charge of the 19 Corporations and Municipal Councils whose terms expire by the month-end.
