Two killed as bus plunges into lake
Medak, Sept 27 (INN): Two persons were killed while 20 others sustained injuries when the driver of a State Road Transport Corporation bus lost control and plunged into a lake near Tirumalapuram in Peddasankarampeta mandal early on Monday morning. According to sources, the bus was heading towards Medak district from Narayankhed bus depot. Sources say that the driver lost control of the bus while negotiating a curve at a high speed. The bus careened into the lake.
According to preliminary reports, the injuries caused to the passengers while the bus was hurtling into the lake were responsible for the deaths. Police are waiting for the autopsy reports to confirm this. The 20 injured passengers were being treated at the Government General Hospital in Medak district. Their condition is stated to be out of danger. The bodies of the two victims have also been shifted to the same hospital for autopsies. A case has been registered.
