10 killed in road mishaps
Medak, Oct 1 (INN): At least six people killed and two others injuries in a major road accident which occurred at Gangavar cross roads, Aknoor mandal in Medak district early on Friday morning. According to investigation officer Mohammed Ghouse, victims V Shankar (20), V Venkatamma (40), B Yagamaiah (45), Narayana (38), Saijulu (47) and V lakshmaiah from Bachupalli village in Kalher mandal in the district were moving on heir auto-rickshaw at Gangavar cross roads.
The incident occurred when an Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation bus from Zaheerabad to Narayankhed smashed into an auto-rickshaw. Five passengers and the auto-rickshaw driver were killed on the spot. Two others were left seriously injured. Police reached the spot on getting information and immediately shifted the victims to hospital for autopsy and treatment.
