Two nabbed for circulating pirated 'Robot' CDs Hyderabad, Oct 5 (INN): Task Force sleuths on Tuesday nabbed two persons for pirating newly released films and seized 3,015 pirated CDs and DVDs from their possessions, as part of a special drive. According to police, sleuths raided New Music World and Super Music Time at Charminar and seized pirated CDs and DVDs of newly released Telugu, English and Hindi movies. According to police, Mohammed Sajjad (24) and Mohammed Siddiqui were running New Music World and Super Music Time respectively. The duo were arrested.
Talking to media person Task force Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Srinivas Rao said that a total of 3015 CDs and DVDs were seized from the accused. These were inclusive of 364 copies of Robot, the newly released movie in Telugu and 336 copies in Hindi, other 428 copies of other Telugu movies like Komaram Puli, Don Seenu, Mariyada Ramanna, Gayam-2, Dabanng and Anjana-Anjani copies about 964 in Hindi and 923 in English. He added that accused used to purchase these copies from their sources in Chennai and Bombay through online transmission, for about Rs 20 to Rs 25 each and used to resell them for Rs 50 to Rs 75 each.
Mr Srinivas Rao said that used machines with the capability of producing about 100 copies per hour without any problems and used to get the delivery of this CDs and DVDs with the help of tourism buses were running the shops without acquiring any licenses from concerned authorities.
He further said that hence the accuse person were using the server other than India's police men are facing troubles to trap them, but even then policeman are at their full effort to nab the other accused persons and due to these type of transactions film industry are facing lots of problems in the market.
