GHMC cautions traders to renew licenses Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Wednesday cautioned all traders in its limits to renew their trade licenses before October 15 to avoid increased penalties.
According to a statement issued by the GHMC, the traders are required to renew their licences under sections 521 and 622 of HMC Act, 1955 for the year 2010 2011. Applications for the renewal of licences could be filed in any of e-Seva centres / Citizen Service centres in GHMC limits.
The statement further stated that Those traders who have not taken trade license so far are requested to approach the nearest e-Seva centers / Citizen Service centers in GHMC Circle offices and apply for trade licenses.
The date of August 16 for renewal without penalty has already passed, and after October 15, the penalty would be increased to 50 percent of the renewal fee in addition to the original license fee.
The GHMC further warned that those who do not renew the trade license or running the trade without obtaining trade license are considered un-licensed trades and the Commissioner, and the Corporation reserved the right to get the premises closed and the goods and articles used for running the said trades seized as per the HMC Act 1955.
