'As Visas granted to our team, we are all set to start the event schedule with Satyanarayana Vrata Mahostavam in Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple, Morganville, New Jersey on the auspicious Pournami day, 22 Oct 2010' said Mr K Rama Chandra Mohan, Executive Officer, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Devasthanam, Annavaram, Andhra Pradesh.
'Every Hindu family will do Satyanarayana Vratam at least once in a life time and most families do it very regularly. Similarly every NRI Hindu family too want to perform the Vratam as and when opportunity comes. Because of this kind of sentiments expressed by several NRIs to us and we have scheduled our trip to USA now with a set of Idols, a team performing Archakas.' told Mr. Mohan.
'We request every NRI family to make use this opportunity to perform Vratam in the scheduled dates in their cities. Our Team will perform the Vratam in the selected temples in batches in most authentic manner' he informed.
In association with Tirumala Tirupati Devastham (TTD), Telugu Times performed Srinivasa Kalyanam in New Jersey and California in May 2010 which was a huge success making the NRI Hindu community felt it as divine opportunity. Based on the sentiments expressed by more cities and more temples for such events in their places, Telugu Times approached Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Devasthanam, Annavaram and scheduled a 9 city tour for the visiting Annavaram Devasthanam team. We are sure that these events too would draw religious minded NRI families to the temples and become a huge success. Said Mr Jayaram Komati, Chairman, Telugu Times and also Chairman, Executive Committee for the Vratam events schedule.
We have scheduled batch wise timings for Vratams in 3 days per city and two cities per week and in every city, the associated Temple is given the responsibility of promoting the event in their city/area, making arrangements for Vratams in batches. City wise schedule is attached. Each registered devotee would receive Swamy vari dollar, Kumkum and akshintalu, a laminated photo, uttareeyam, blouse piece from Annavaram. Registrations are right now actively happening through city wise temple web sites and through www.satyanarayanavrataminusa,org the exclusive website. Registration money will go those temples which will in turn meet the expenses of conducting these events. Popular TV9-USA edition and Bhakti TV have become the Media Partners and are giving the pre event and post event coverage. Said Mr Subba Row V Chennuri, Editor, Telugu Times and also the Convener for the Vratams in USA
