ASI commits suicide
Hyderabad, Oct 22 (INN): Unable to bear frustration due to family disputes an Assistant Sub-Inspector committed suicide under Yacharam Police Station limits. According to Inspector Srinivas Rao, Manik Singh (49), who was presently residing in Yacharam Quarters and was originally a native from Tandur. Mr Srinivas Rao revealed that the ASI had become addicted to alcohol. He used to pick fights with his family on trivial issues after consuming liquor after completing his duty.
The ASI picked up a fight with his wife after consuming alcohol late on Thursday night. Manik Singh was found dead early on Friday morning. Police believe that he consumed poison some time during the night. The ASIs family informed the police who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
