Cops killed in road mishap
Nalgonda, Oct 23 (INN): A constable and a home guard were killed when a bus smashed into the motorcycle they were travelling on from behind at Polepally Ramnagar, Chintapally mandal in Nalgonda district. According to Sub-Inspector Chandrashekar Reddy, the incident took place late on Friday night. The two were returning to Chintapally police station after patrol duty. A private Volvo bus, bound for Hyderabad from Mallepalli smashed into their motorcycle from behind. Both the personnel were killed on the spot.
The constable was identified as Babu (28) from Kodad, while the Home Guard was identified as Muthyalu (24), from Akkampur. Both were attached to the Chintapally Police Station. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
