Dowry harassment claims newly married womans life Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): Unable to bear dowry harassment from her husband and in-laws, a newly married bride committed suicide under Shamirpet Police Station limits. According to police, the victim has been identified as K Sunita (17), a resident of Lingapur Thanda, Shamirpet, who got married to Ravi five months ago. At the time of her marriage on May 17, Sunitas parents had given 8 tolas of gold, 20 tolas of silver and net cash of Rs 2.5 lakh as dowry.
One month after her marriage, Ravi and his parents started harassing Sunita to bring more dowry, police said. Mentally disturbed Sunita on Saturday committed suicide by consuming poison. She was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment. She died while undergoing treatment at Mediciti hospital in Medchal on Sunday night. A case under section 304-B IPC has been registered. Speeding car mows down girl
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): A four-year-old girl was mowed down by a speeding car under Sanjeev Reddy Nagar police station limits. According to police, the victim has been identified as Genelia, daughter of K Nagababu, and residing at Czech Colony, Sanathnagar. The mishap occurred when Genelia was returning home after meeting her grandfather at Czech Colony along with her friend Pujitha (4). A speeding car mowed the both girls while crossing the road. Genelia and Pujitha were rushed to Rainbow hospital in Lakdikapool, where Genelia died on Sunday night. Pujitha was undergoing treatment in the hospital. A case has been registered under section 304 A IPC against the car driver.
Two women die of burns in separate incidents
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): A woman, who sustained serious burns, died at Gandhi hospital on Monday under Jeedimetla police station limits. According to Sub-Inspector T Puroshotham, the victim has been identified as Amina Begum (30), wife of Dawood Ali, a resident of Rodamestrynagar, Jeedimetla in Ranga Reddy district. Amina Begum sustained burns while cooking on October 28 at her residence.
In a similar incident, a woman, who sustained burns, died in hospital under Rein Bazaar police station limits. According to the sub inspector M Venkateshwar Rao, the victim has been identified as K Yadamma (34), wife of K Ramesh, was a resident of Harijan Basti in Madannapet. She sustained serious burns while cooking on October 29. She was admitted to Osmania General Hospital where she died on Sunday night.
Family disputes drives man to suicide
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): Due to family dispute a watchman hanged himself to roof of under construction building under Charminar police station limits on Monday. According to Sub-Inspector Mohammed Saleem, the victim identified as P Sailoo (45), a resident of Shamirpet in Ranga Reddy district.
Train mows down one
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): A person was mowed down by a train while crossing railway tracks at Tilaknagar under Kachiguda Railway police station limits on Sunday night. According to the Sub-Inspector Rama Rao, the victim identified as Gowri Shankar (35), was a resident of Khijada village, Churu district in Rajasthan State. The victim came to state for some personal work. Railway police registered a case and shifted his body to Osmania General Hospital.
Security guard killed in road mishap
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): An ICICI bank security guard was killed in a road accident under Alwal Police Station limits on Sunday night. According to the Sub-Inpector K Lakshman Rao, the victim has been identified as M B Ravinder Raju (48), a resident of Banda Basti in Old Alwal. The mishap occurred when he was returning home on his motorcycle from his in-laws residence in Medchal to Alwal. When he reached Alwal PS limits, a motor cycle hit him killing him on the spot. Police registered a case under section 304-A IPC.
