AISF activists stage protest against Obamas visit Hyderabad, Nov 6 (INN): Activists of All India Students Federation (AISF), Greater Hyderabad unit, on Saturday staged a dharna against the visit of US President Barrack Obama to India and burnt his effigy at Narayanaguda Crossroads. Shouting slogans against the US President, the activists, under the leadership of AISF city in-charge Sudhakar and assistant secretary Uma Mahesh, staged the protest. They alleged that the US President aimed to impose his capitalist policies and build financial relations with India as part of his visit. The activists stated that Mr Obamas visit would put a strain on the relations between two major economic countries in South AsiaIndia and China.
They said the visit of Obama would increase tensions between India and Pakistan as US was the main arms supplier, including nuclear arms for Pakistan. The AISF leaders stated that 40 crore people in India are against US Presidents visit. 'Through his visit, Obama wants to reduce unemployment rate in US by sacking Indians working in that country and wants to strengthen his position in US,' they pointed out. 'Mr Obama wants to promote foreign universities in India and would sign nuclear deal agreements to promote his countrys interests,' they said.
