Brothers quarrel leaves one dead
Mahabubnagar, Nov 6 (INN): A petty quarrel between two brothers turned tragic after one of the brothers was killed at the hands of the other under Jadcherla police station limits. According to Inspector Mohammed Shakir Hussain, a toddy seller Vallabdass Venkatesh Goud (48), son of Balram, was a resident of Gangapuram in Mahabubnagar district. Late on Wednesday night, he had a dispute with his brother V Srinivas Goud over a petty issue. The dispute soon turned into a quarrel during which Srinvas Goud hit Venkatesh Goud with a heavy stick. This left the victim bleeding profusely. He was rushed to Osmania General Hospital, where he died on Friday late night while undergoing treatment. A case has been registered by under section 302 IPC against Srinivas. Further investigations are on.
Speeding train mows down youth
Hyderabad, Nov 6 (INN): A 22-year-old youth was mowed down by a speeding train while crossing railway tracks under Kachiguda Railway police station limits. According to Sub-Inspector Rama Rao, N Raj Kumar (22), son of Natrajan, was a resident of IDA Mailardevpally, Bandlaguda in Ranga Reddy district. He was crossing the railway tracks near Falaknuma where an unidentified train mowed down on Friday, killing him on spot. Police shifted body to hospital for autopsy after registering a case.
Woman drowns in lake while drinking water
Hyderabad, Nov 6 (INN): A thirsty woman, who went to a lake for drinking water drowned accidentally under Meerpet police station limits. According to Assistant Sub-Inspector A Ravindar Reddy, C Bharathamma (42), wife of Yadaiah was a resident of Nadargul village in Saroor Nagar. On Thursday evening, Bharatamma was out on some work along with her son C Suresh. While returning home, she felt thirsty. She went to the Devalamma Lake to drink water, but accidentally slipped and drowned. Immediately her son noticed and tried to rescue her but failed. He informed the police who retrieved her body from lake and registered a case.
