Burnt body of male found, murder suspected Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): A severely burnt body of an unidentified male was found in open place under suspicious circumstances in YSR Nagar in Alwal on Saturday. According to Inspector K Srinivas Rao, the unidentified male is believed to be aged around 35 years. The police say that his height is 5 feet and 8 inches. The body was found with 100 per cent burns. Police suspect that the man was murdered elsewhere and his killers burnt his body later. They then threw the body at the spot. A case has been registered under section 302 IPC. Further investigations are on.
Woman hit by bike, dies
Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): A 34-year-old woman died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle while she was crossing the road at Suraram Colony in Hyderabad. According to Sub-Inspector M Yesudass, Mastana Begum (34), wife of Mohammed Ahmed Hussain, was a resident of Saibaba Nagar in Suraram Colony. On Thursday, she was crossing the road in Suraram Colony, but was hit by the speeding motorcycle, leaving her with grievous head injuries.
She was rushed to nearest hospital for treatment where she breathed her last late on Saturday night while undergoing treatment. A case has been registered under section 304A IPC against the motorcycle rider. The vehicle has been seized. Further investigations are on.
Old woman mowed down by train
Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): A 60-year-old woman was mowed down by the Manmad Express while she was crossing the railway tracks under Secunderabad Railway police station limits. According to Sub-Inspector Khadar Shareef, Rosalyn Peter, wife of Salwa Peter, was a resident of Alwal. On Saturday, Rosalyn was crossing railway tracks at Cavalry Barracks when she was hit by the Manmad Express, proceeding towards Secunderabad from Manmad. Police believe that she had not noticed the train which was rushing towards her. She died on the spot. Police reached the spot on getting information and shifted the body to hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
Task Force busts sex racket
Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): Task Force sleuths on Saturday claimed to have busted a sex racket, following a raid and subsequent arrest of the owner of Delhi Lodge, along with 16 sex workers and six auto-rickshaw drivers. Following the arrests, the Task Force sleuths also seized Rs 29,400 in cash and five autos from the accused. According to police, the owner of Delhi Lodge, Bolleboina Srinivasa Yadav (46), was running the business since the past one-and-a-half years on lease.
In order to overcome his financial problems, Srinivasa Yadav had allowed sex workers along with their customers to use the lodge rooms and charging them heavily. The police further added that Srinivasa Yadav had engaged a few auto drivers as pimps and through them attracted the sex workers and their customers. On the instructions of Srinivasa Yadav, the female pimps attracted customers and sent them to Delhi Lodge through the auto drivers along with sex workers.
Notorious vehicle lifter held, property worth Rs 14 lakh recovered
Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): Mahankali Police arrested a notorious vehicle lifter and recovered 13 two-wheelers and one Mahindra Tractor which are worth about Rs 14 lakh. The accused Kallepally Ravinder (29) was arrested on a tip-off. During his statement, the accused confessed to have committed 13 two-wheeler offences, in addition to stealing one Tractor. Based on his confession, the police recovered 13 two wheelers and one tractor from his possession, besides parking places at Jubilee Bus Stand and Imliban Bus station.
Ravinder is also accused of committing six more Tractor-theft offences committed under the limits of Ongole, Darshi, Medarimetla of Prakasam district, Suryapeta and Penpahad of Nalgonda district. He disposed the stolen vehicles to his known receivers through his associates M Janardhan and Ongolu Srinivasa Rao at Neredcherla of Nalgonda district and spent away the illegal gains. Ravinders associates, Janardhan and Ongolu Sruinivasa Rao are still at large.
Previously the accused Kallepally Ravinder was involved in about 70 two-wheeler, 13 tractor offences under the limits of Chandanagar, Malkajgiri, Pahadisharif, LB Nagar, Kurnool IV-Town, Dindi, Bhongir, Karimnagar, Macherla, Gajwel, Kukunoorpally, Afzalgunj, Kachiguda, Market, Jadcherla, Patancheru.
