Stalker thrashed, held for threatening girl Mahabubnagar, Nov 8 (INN): A stalker along with his two friends, was man-handled and handed over to police when he tried to throw acid on a tenth-standard girl at Amarchinta village, Atmakur mandal in the district. According to Sub-Inspector Veerappa, the stalker, identified as auto-rickshaw driver Sattar (19), was harassing a 16-year-old tenth standard girl to accept his love since last four months. His advances grew more adventurous with each passing day, to the extent that he had resorted to threaten her that he would throw acid on her face if she did not reciprocate his love.
The victim finally mustered courage on Monday morning to inform her father Venkatesh over the advances by Sattar. Venkatesh laid a trap and managed to lure Sattar and his accomplices Jaffar and Sridhar. Venkatesh and his relatives, along with his neighbours soundly thrashed the offenders. The accused were then handed over to police. The police registered cases under Sections 509 and 506 IPC against the three. The accused are presently under police custody and will be produced in court.
