Two held for cheating unemployed youth Hyderabad, Nov 9 (INN): Central Zone Task Force sleuths on Tuesday nabbed two persons for cheating unemployed candidates by collecting huge amount of money with false promises of providing job placement in MNCs. The officials also seized five computers, two landline phones and other incriminating documents from them. According to police, the accused were identified as Ashwath Singh (30) and Marwyn Michael (23). Ashwanth Singh used to get details of unemployed youth through internet and trap them. Later they used to collect around Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000 from each candidate towards advance payment for job processing. The accused after establishing contacts with the HR managers of Multi National Companies used to forward the resumes of the unemployed candidates.
After getting job offer letters in the name of unemployed candidates from bogus MNCs, they forward the letters to candidates and collect the balance amount from them. But after receiving amount from the candidates, the accused avoided any contact from their target. In this way the accused has collected amount to the tune of Rs 50 lakh from the unemployed candidates.
Since last two months, the accused has shut down their consultancy office to avoid the unemployed candidates and postponing the dates for repayment of amounts to them on one or some pretext. Acting on definite clues, the police seized documents, five computer systems, two landline phones and other incriminating documents. The accused would be handed over to Bollarum PS for taking further action.
