Two students killed, 2 serious in road mishap Medak, Nov 10 (INN): At least two students were killed on spot and two others received serious injuries in a major road accident which took place on the National Highway Number 9, near Kandi village, Sanga Reddy mandal in Medak district on Wednesday. According to Sub-Inspector Srinivas, the mishap occurred when a speeding car went out of control after its rear-left tyre burst and hit a road divider. The car then toppled over to the other side of the road. A college bus coming from the opposite side then smashed into the car.
Mr Srinivas said that the car driver Mohammed Rasheed (23) and occupant Yasser (18) died on the spot while two other occupants, Abdul Jaleel and Hafiz received serious injuries. They were rushed to hospital with the help of 108 ambulances. The car was proceeding to Lingampally from Sangareddy while the bus, belonging to the MNR college, was proceeding towards Sangareddy. Doctors treating the injured at the Sangareddy Government Hospital advised that the two be shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad since their condition was critical. A case has been registered under section 304-A.
