Film Tourism Cell to help film makers
Hyderabad, Nov 11 (INN): The state government has constituted a Film Tourism Cell in the Tourism Department headed by Tourism Secretary as its Chairman. The Cell will have the Chief Wild Life Warden, the Special Home Secretary and the AP Tourism MD as its members. The APSFTVTDC Managing Director will be the Member Convener. The main function of this cell would be creating awareness about the facilities available in AP including studio and outdoor locations; obtaining all permissions and clearances on behalf of the film maker; organizing a package of services (Accommodation, Transport, Catering, Security etc.) to the Film maker on payment basis.
The existing staff in Tourism department will provide Secretarial support to the cell in addition to their work. The one time initial expenditure of developing promotional material will be met from Publicity budget of APTDC and APSFTVTDC. Private Stake holders will also be involved in the generation of promotion material. Service fee will be charged subsequently for single window package of services, to create a stream of Revenue for the cell.
