Eid Prayers: Arrangements in place Hyderabad, Nov 16 (INN): Minister for Minority Welfare Syed Ahmedullah on Tuesday visited two Eidgah in the city to take a first-hand assessment of the arrangements being made for the special Eid prayers on the eve of 'Id-ul-Zuha, also known as Bakrid. Talking to media persons later, Mr Ahmedullah said all the arrangements for the conduction of special festival prayers peacefully are being made. He stated that the Wakf Board has spent Rs 1.25 lakh for making the arrangements at Eidgah Mir Alam and Rs forty thousand for the arrangements at Eidgah Madannapet.
Mr Ahmedullah added that police department has been told to provide tight security to prevent any untoward situation on the festive day. Police has already announced traffic diversions on Bakrid to eradicate traffic problems. The Minorities Minister further said APDISCOM has promised uninterrupted power supply for the prayers. He added that tents will be set up to enable the devout to offer their prayers in shade.
Mr Ahmedullah said Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board have agreed to supply five tankers of drinking water for the devout to perform ablutions in various place near Idgahs. Prayer at Mir-Alam Idgah will be held at 9:30 AM. They will be led by Hafiz Moulana Abdullah Qureshi Al-Azhari. The prayers at the Madannapet Idgah will be led by Hafiz Daud Madani.
