ACB raids on Water Works GM yield assets over Rs 1 cr
Hyderabad, Nov 20 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Saturday conducted raids on the residence of Qutubullahpur Waters Works General Manager and unearthed property worth Rs one crore. According to Anti Corruption Bureau Director Abraham Lincoln, the accused officer was identified as M Reddy Rajasekhar. The ACB officials conducted the raids on residence of the Water Works GM on credible information that the officer had amassed property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids yielded one house, three apartments, three shopping complexes and 24 acres of agriculture land at Shadnagar, the registered value of these assets is more than Rs 1 Crore. The searches also yielded 2 kilograms of gold ornaments, 5 kilograms of silver, household articles worth Rs 3,50,000 and cash amounting to Rs 5 lakh and one Innova car. Bank lockers and balances are being verified. Simultaneous searches are being conducted at the residence, Office and on the residence of his friend Koti Rama Krishna Rao, Deputy Executive Engineer, HMDA in Tarnaka, since they own some properties in common. The case is under investigation.
