Man kills boy to marry his mother Hyderabad, Nov 28 (INN): Assuming that ten-year-old Naga Shiv Kumar was a hurdle in his marriage, a 22-year-old youth strangled the boy at Subhashnagar in Jeedimetla on Saturday. According to Sub-Inspector Veeraswamy Goud, K Bajali was having an illicit affair with Bhagya Lakshim (35), his neighbour. Bhagya Lakshmi's husband Bhaskhar Rao had deserted her one year after their marriage, leaving her pregnant with Shiv Kumar. The two neighbours, Balaji and Bhagya Lakshmi fell in love and wanted to marry. This was opposed by Bhagya Lakshmi's mother who objected not only to the age difference between the two but also told them that Balaji would not be able to tender his love and affection to Shiv Kumar.
A dejected Balaji then assumed that though he could not remove the age difference between the two, but can remove one hurdle in his marriage aspirations. According to Mr Goud, Balaji took the boy along with him to watch a movie. After returning home, the boy drifted off to sleep in Balaji's residence. Balaji took the opportunity and smothered the boy with a pillow, snuffing out his life. Police registered a case against Balaji under Section 302 IPC. He is absconding.
