Realtor murdered in broad daylight Hyderabad, Nov 29 (INN): A realtor was brutally attacked and killed in broad daylight by unidentified assailants on Monday morning under LB Nagar police station limits. According to Inspector Sridhar Reddy, the realtor S Radha Krishna (36), son of Seeta Ramulu, a resident of Vivek Villa Apartments, in LB Nagar, was attacked by four unidentified persons, who came on two motor cycles early on Monday morning when he was stepped out from his home. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The incident took place when he was out from home on work. Police pressed Clues team to collect vital information and shifted his body for autopsy. A case under section 302 IPC has been registered.
Notorious burglar nabbed
Hyderabad, Nov 29 (INN): Habeebnagar police officials on Monday apprehended a notorious house burglar and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth about Rs 3 lakh from him. According to Goshamahal Division ACP M Venkateswar Rao, the police arrested Mohammed Hussain Ali (20), a resident of Saidabad, based on definite information. On interrogation, he admitted have committed thefts in three houses under Habeebnagar and Malakpet police station limits. The police recovered gold ornaments weighing about 9.2 tolas and silver items weighing about 1100 grams from him. The court remanded him to judicial custody.
Civil assistant surgeon convicted for graft
Hyderabad, Nov 29 (INN): The Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad has convicted Dr S Anjaneyulu, Civil Assistant Surgeon, District Hospital, Nandyal, Kurnool district and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years and to pay a fine of Rs 5,000 for the offence and in the default of payment of fine the AO to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months. The court has further ordered AO to deposit the disproportionate asset amount of Rs. 9,02,252 within two months from the date of the judgment and if he fails to do so, the prosecution would be at liberty to recover the said amount from the assets of the AO.
Earlier a case was registered against Dr S Anjaneyulu, Civil Assistant Surgeon, District Hospital, Nandyal, Kurnool district for being in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income. After finalization of investigation he was prosecuted before the court of law by the bureau.
