Youth murdered by wayward friends Hyderabad, Dec 1 (INN): A 17-year-old youth was murdered, allegedly by his friends, under Rajendernagar police station limits late on Tuesday. According to Inspector Bhopal Rao, the youth G Kranti Xavier, son of Simon Xavier is suspected to have been killed at the hands of his friends. He was a resident of Gayatrinagar, Boduppal. Xavier had fallen in bad company after failing in his intermediate examinations, Mr Bhopal Rao stated. He had resorted to stealing in the company of his so-called friends and had even been sent to jail. His friends, Raj Kumar, Naveen, Vikas, Ramesh, Shiva and Krishna had been sent to jail along with him. After their release the six suspected that Xavier had informed about a theft to the police since he was not caught the second time. They had come to his home and asked him to accompany them on the night of November 29. His bloodied body was found the next night near Chaitanya Ventures in the bushes late on Tuesday night. He was killed with a sharp object like a sword, Mr Bhopal Rao stated. Police suspect that the friends may have killed Xavier after suspecting him to be a police informer.
Unidentified male's body found
Hyderabad, Dec 1 (INN): Alwal police are investigating the discovery of the body of an unidentified male which was found Koukur Barsampet lake on Wednesday morning. According to Inspector K Srinivas Rao, the body was naked and the body had been stuffed into a sack. The victim was believed to be aged around 35 years. The police registered a case under Section 302 IPC and took up investigations.
Woman burns drunkard hubby alive
Hyderabad, Dec 1 (INN): In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly burnt her husband alive after she ran out of patience over regular petty quarrels between the two. According to Petbasheerabad Police Inspector S Ashok Kumar, Renuka doused her husband B Raju Chary (35) a carpenter with kerosene and set him alight. Raju used to pick fights with his wife over trivial issues since the time of their marriage 15 years ago. The couple were blessed with a seven-year-old son. Renuka was particularly incensed after he did not go out for work since the past five days, Mr Ashok Kumar said. He had been coming home drunk since the past few days, he added.
Raju had come home drunk late on Tuesday night and quarrelled with his wife. He had then drifted off to sleep. Renuka's patience ran out and she took the opportunity to end the incessant quarrels forever. A case has been registered Under Section 302 IPC. Further investigations are on.
