Steel plant boiler explodes, 1 killed, 3 critical
Nalgonda, Dec 5 (INN): One person died and 10 others sustained burn injuries in a explosion which occurred at a boiler in Hari Hara steel plant at Nimaragondla in BB Nagar mandal in Nalgonda district on Sunday.
According to police, all the injured have been shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. According to hospital sources, condition of three of the injured is stated to be critical. They all are labourers.
The ten labourers sustained burn injuries as the explosion in the boiler of the plant sparked off a fire which spread rapidly.
The identity of deceased is yet to be ascertained. According to police, all the ten injured labourers hail from Bihar. The steel plant management pressed fire tenders to put off the fire. The cause for the explosion in the boiler was yet to be ascertained, the management said.
