Four eateries shut down for unhygienic conditions Hyderabad, Dec 8 (INN): Two teams of the Health and Sanitation wing of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Wednesday closed down four eating establishments for unhygienic conditions. Apart from running the premises in unhygienic conditions the four eating establishments in Malakpet, Sri Raghavendra Tiffins, Siva Sai Mess, Sri Kamakshiyamman Hot Chips, Classic Fast Food Centre were found to have been running without a valid trade license, required under Section 521 and 622 of the HMC Act.
Apart from closing down the four eateries, the health officials also initiated legal proceedings against seven eateries for violating by-laws of the HMC for the Regulation of Eating Houses (or) Hotels. The surprise inspections began at 11 AM and continued till 5 PM in Malakpet, Dilsukh Nagar and surrounding areas. The seven eateries on which legal action was taken were identified as Balaji Family Dhaba, Caf' Needs, Kranthi Bar and Restaurant, Vijaya Bar and Restaurant, Hotel Akshaya, Veg Restaurant, Sweet and Khara (Muktars), and Chowking Fast Foods, all located in Malakpet area.
