Contractor lecturers stir: JAC leaders held Hyderabad, Dec 13 (INN): As many as 50 JAC students leaders courted arrest at the Secretariat main entrance when they held a demonstration in support of the demands of the contract lecturers, who were agitating among others regularisation of services, pay scales and job security. The JAC leaders threatened to intensify the agitation if the government did not react to their demands. Even as the JAC leaders launched an attack at the Secretariat gate demanding minimum pay-scales etc.
At another venue JAC leader MVS Sarma's hunger strike entered the fourth day on Monday to realise their demands. They condemned the government for not replying to their stir and not inviting them for talks for the last 15 days. AP NGO leader V Gopal Reddy visited the hunger strike camp and expressed his solidarity. SFI leader, Pagadala Lakshmaiah, AISF leader Stalin, PDSU leader Sathya, Dinesh Chowdhary of TNSF, Ramesh of TVV and other courted arrest.
