Power Board ADE nabbed while taking bribe
West Godavari, Dec 14(INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths caught red-handed T Venkateshwar Rao, Assistant Divisional Engineer, (Operations), APEPDCL, Tadepalligudem, Rural Sub-Division, West Godavari District on Monday night at Reliance Petrol Bunk, Tadepalligudem while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant for doing official favour to issue material to erect an electrical line and Distribution Transformer to give power supply to the agricultural bore well of the wife of the complainant at Avapadu (V), Nallagerla (M). The sleuths arrested T Venkateshwar Rao.
Convicted AAE dismissed from service
Visakhapatnam, Dec 14(INN): VVS Narasimha Rao, Additional Assistant Engineer, APEPDCL Koruprolu Section, S Rayavaram Mandal, Visakhapatnam district has been dismissed from service by the Chef General Manager/HRD, EPDC Limited, Visakhapatnam following his conviction by the Special Judge for ACB Cases, Visakhapatnam for the offence U/s 7, 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Earlier, Rao was trapped on Oct 18, 2003 by the officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau when he accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from the complainant for showing official favour of giving agricultural service connection.
