TANA to celebrat Chaitanya Sravanthi in 3 cities
Hyderabad, Dec 14 (INN): Telugu Association of North America (TANA) is celebrating 'Chaitanya Sravanthi- Telugu Vaibhavam' in three cities in Andhra Pradesh in December 2010. In a statement, TANA president Jayaram Komati informed that the celebrations are going to be held at Hyderabad on Dec 19 in Ravindra Bharati, in Chandragiri Fort, Tirupati on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec 21st and 22nd, and in Siddartha Academy, Vijayawada on Friday and Saturday, Dec 24th and 25th.
He said that the TANA is known for its dedicated services not only to NRI Telugu community residing in USA and Canada, but also to the Telugu community in Andhra Pradesh for the last 3 decades. TANA's efforts in preserving and promoting Telugu language, culture for the next generation and in connecting the NRI Telugu community to its motherland are always appreciated by one and all.
With the same objectives in mind, TANA has been conducting activities in Andhra Pradesh every two years from 2000 and everyone remembers those Chaitanya Sravanthi celebrations. Now also, before the TANA Conference in San Jose in July 2011, TANA is celebrating the Chaitanya Sravanthi- Telugu Vaibhavam in AP in December. Giving more information on the celebrations, Ms Vijaya Assuri, Chairperson- TANA India activities said 'TANA Chaitanya Sravanthi- Telugu Vaibhavam proposes to carry out several activities in all three regions'.
There will be Poetry competetitions, Drama competetitions, Veda Pathana/ Bhakti geethaalapana poteelu and Saamscrutika Sammelanam at Vijayawada on Dec 24th and 25 at Siddardha academy. Mandali Buddha Prasad, former minister and Krishna Zilla Rachayitula Sangam will coordinate the Sammelanam by identifying the eminent scholars, inviting them to present a paper at the Sammelanam on the given topic. TANA will provide the platform for eminent scholars to present a paper on over 30 topics on Telugu culture. TANA shall also publish the presented papers as a Book subsequently and this book may perhaps become the first one covering so many topics on Telugu culture and remain as a collectors item.
