ACB raids on DEE yields rich haul Hyderabad, Dec 15 (INN): The Anti Corruption bureau sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids and searches at various places including office, residence of A.Srinivasa Reddy, Deputy Executive Engineer, Commissonerate of Tender, BRK Bhavan, and other premises at Hyderabad and Ramagiri village, Saligouraram Mandal of Nalgonda District, which resulted in disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs. 1.25 crores. The assets include a house and flat at Banjara hills and 4.06 acres of Agricultural lands at Karmanghat, Maheshwaram, Venkatapur and Kangarakal of RR District. The searches also yielded 1.36 kg of gold ornaments, 1.75 kgs of silver and net cash of Rs 16,74,000, Rs 58 lakhs bank balance in 5 accounts in various banks, FDRs of Rs. 3.18 lakhs. Two more lockers are yet to be opened at SBI and SBH of Amberpet branches. Srinivasa Reddy was arrested and will be produced before Special Court for ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
Man found dead in suspicious circumstances
Hyderabad, Dec 15 (INN): A male body was found near Nanalnagar open land under the Langer House police station limits. According to Inspector G Sreedhar, the police patrolling party had found a 30-year-old male's body at Nanalnagar X Road open Land. The victim might have consumed poison and committed suicide, police said. The police recovered a identity card named as Vittalaiah S/o Mallaiah, r/o Medipally Village, Moinabad Mandal, RR, Dist. The dead body shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
Lorry knocks down 4th class student
Hyderabad, Dec 15 (INN): A Fourth class student died when a lorry knocked her down at Alkapuri under the LB Nagar police station limits on Wednesday. According to Inspector Sreedhar Reddy, the victim has been identified as Islavath Kumari (12), a resident of Sainagar. She was studying at Government High School, Hayathnagar. Police registered a case under Section 304A IPC. The body was shifted to Osmania mortuary for postmortem.
