Excise officials raid Hookah Centres
Hyderabad, Dec 19 (INN): The Excise Officials on Saturday night conducted surprise raids on hooka centres in Hyderabad and Rangareddy city limits. According to Excise Commissioner Mr Vinod Kumar Agarwal, the raids were conducted under the leadership of Director of Enforcement P V Sunil Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Excise T M Venkat Swamy, Assistant Commissioner of Excise Enforcement, Hyderabad AVVSN Murthy and Assistant Commissioner of Ranga Reddy Zone N A Ajay Rao along with all SHOs.
The raids were conducted in Mehdipatnam, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Narayanguda, Secunderabad, Madhapur, Nizampet, Kukatpally, KPHB Phase I, Saroornagar and Habsiguda and all posh localities. The officials collected 66 samples from the centres and took into custody minor school and college students. The seized samples have been sent for chemical analysis report. After counseling, all the minor students were released. A case has been registered.
