SJ Museum's special Christmas expo Hyderabad, Dec 21(INN): Expressing his pleasure and gratitude to the Salar Jung authorities for organising a special exhibition on the occasion of Christmas, Bishop of Church of South India (Medak) Rt Rev T S Kanaka Prasad on Wednesday stated that Christmas begins in the hearts of people with love. Salarjung Museum director A Nagender Reddy said the collections displayed in the exhibition are curated from the reserve collection of the museum. A Christmas tree has been arranged to lend spirit of festivity to the exhibition and draw the museum visitors to appreciate the exhibition, he pointed out.
The exhibition showcases 54 art objects like oil paintings, tempera on wood, miniature works on paper, enamel paintings, works on mother of pearl, ivory, sculptures in metal, plaster of paris and kaolin, he said. The exhibition was segregated into two parts-Merry Christmas and The Road to the Holy Land. Merry Christmas offers through art works, the life story of Jesus Christ, from conception to birth to crucifixion and The Road to the Holy Land through pictures reproduced from the book entitled, The Holy Land, Millenium 2000 by Elal, the Airline of Israel Member Kedeswari was also present.
