TPF observes black day Hyderabad, Dec 23(INN): Stating that the December 23, 2009 was a 'Black Day', Telangana People's Front president and Balladeer Gaddar on Thursday demanded that the Centre introduce a separate Telangana Bill in Parliament in its Budget session. Gaddar pointed out that it was on December 23, 2009 that the Centre made its remarkable U-turn on the Telangana issue, after pro-integrationists built up pressure on the Centre not to proceed with the process of formation of a separate state.
The Balladeer reminded that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had said on the day that wide-ranging consultations would be held on the Telangana state issue as a large number of parties are sharply divided on it, in contrast to the statement made on December 9, 2009 in which he had said that the process of formation of a separate state has begun. Condemning the second statement, Gaddar demanded immediate introduction of separate Telangana bill in the budget session of Parliament and announce the formation of state.
In this regard, Gaddar submitted a memorandum to Ranga Reddy district Collector Dana Kishore and Hyderabad Collector Natarajan Gulzar. He also called for all elected representatives of all political parties from Telangana region to join hands and pressurize the government to introduce a Bill in Parliament for creation of separate State. The balladeer also threatened the Centre of serious consequences if it fails to introduce T bill in Parliament.
