Lorry rams RTC bus, two killed Nalgonda, Dec 26 (INN): At least two persons were killed and four injured, one of them critically, in a collision between a lorry and a bus at at Pedda Adicherla mandal in Nalgonda district in the wee hours of Sunday. According to Sub-Inspector K Parthasarathy, the incident occurred when a speeding lorry collided with Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus at Nilam Nagar bus stop in PA Pally. The lorry was proceeding towards Macherla in Guntur from Hyderabad.
The impact left lorry driver Jahangir (30), a resident of Nagarkurnool in Mahabubnagar district and Koparapu Chinna Venkateshwar (60) a resident of Kukatpally in Hyderabad dead on the spot. Syed Mohammed Jaleel Pasha, Katikala Kishore, N Pichaiah and Tati Lakshmi Narayana were identified as the ones who were injured. Jaleel Pasha is said to be in a critical condition while Kishore, Pichaiah and Narayana were stated to be in stable after being rushed to a hospital by the bystanders in 108 ambulances. A case has been registered under section 304-A IPC and further investigations are on.
