Police rescued 36 girls from brothels Nalgonda, Dec 27 (INN): Choutuppal police on Monday conducted raids on brothels in Vani in the Yavatmal district in Maharashtra state and managed to free 36 girls from Andhra Pradesh who are believed to have been forced into the sex trade. According to Inspector Tirupatanna, police conducted the raids on the brothels and arrested 26 persons who were running these brothels. The girls are believed to have been trapped from unscrupulous flesh traders. Mr Tirupatanna revealed that the girls who were rescued from the brothels hailed from Choutuppal, Huzurnagar and Kodhad areas in Nalgonda district. Among the 26 accused about ten are believed to be from Andhra Pradesh and the rest from Maharashtra. The accused have been booked under Sections 376, 363, 366 and 373 IPC. The arrested accused have been produced before a Court in Vani, Maharashtra. Further investigations are on.
