Son kills mother over property sharing dispute Kurnool, Dec 27 (INN): In a brutal incident which was discovered on Monday, a woman was allegedly killed by her wayward son following a property dispute which occurred under Bethamcherla police station limits late on Sunday. According to Sub-Inspector Maheshwar Reddy, the victim was identified as Boggana Yellamma (58), wife of B Raghurami Reddy (62), resident of Bethamcherla in Kurnool district. The couple was blessed with four children, Naga Bushanam (42), Radha (38), Sudha (36) and Srikanth Reddy (32). The three elder children were married and well-settled but the youngest son had fallen into bad company and addicted to bad habits.
The family had entered into a dispute over the sharing of the parents' property after Yellamma reportedly disagreed to distribute her property. The disagreement left Srikanth Reddy seething with anger. Mr Maheshwar Reddy revealed that it is believed that Srikanth Reddy stabbed his mother with a sharp knife through the cheek and neck during the night and fled from the scene. She is believed to have died on the spot. The crime was discovered early on Monday morning when his father and brother woke up. They immediately informed the police who shifted the body to hospital for autopsy and began investigations. A case has been registered Under Section 302 IPC. Efforts are on to nab Srikanth Reddy.
Man bludgeons wife to death
Guntur, Dec 27 (INN): Guntur police on Monday launched a manhunt for a man who is on the run after brutally smashing his wife's head with the iron handle of a plough at Ilavaram village, Battiprolu mandal in wee hours of Monday. According to Sub-Inspector K Venkateshwar, the victim has been identified as Dabbakuti Adi Lakshmi (25), wife of Dabbakuti Radhakrishna (29) both residents of Ilavaram village. Late on Sunday night, Radhakrishna smashed his wife's head with the handle of the plough, leaving her dead on the spot. The ferocity of the attack was evident from the smashed-in parts of her forehead and the cranium.
The police reached the spot on getting information about the killing. They pressed the CLUES team into operation and shifted body to hospital for autopsy. Mr Venkateshwar stated that the reason behind the barbaric act was not yet ascertained. A case has been registered on the complaint of Mahalakshmi, Adi Lakshmi's mother Under Section 302 IPC against Radhakrishna.
Drunkards kill drinking mate
Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): Two drunkards brutally murdered their friend over a petty issue under Amberpet police station limits. According to Inspector T Govardhan, the victim has been identified as Mohammed Naseeruddin (26), a resident of Adarshnagar, Santoshnagar. On Sunday night, Naseeruddin entered into a heated argument with Jahangir and Akhtar over a trivial issue. In a fit of rage, both Jahangir and Akhtar murdered Naseeruddin with a granite stone and fled the scene. Police shifted the body to hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered a case Under Section 302 IPC against victim's friends and a man hunt lunched to nab the accused persons.
Housewife robbed, throat slashed
Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): Miscreants robbed four tolas of gold chain from a housewife and later slashed her throat by the knife used to threaten her under Langer Houz police station limits. According to Inspector Sreedhar, the victim has been identified as Sindu (35), wife of Ajith Kumar, a resident of Hashimnagar in Lungerhouz. On Monday afternoon, two unidentified persons have knocked the and threatened Sindhu at knifepoint and robbed the gold chain. After snatching chain, they slashed on her throat. She was rushed to Hospital. Police registered a case under Section 379 IPC.
Woman loses phone, kills self
Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): A woman committed suicide at Sultan Bazar police station limits after she lost a mobile phone gifted by her husband on December 22. According to Sub-Inspector V Jagalu, the victim has been identified as Deepa (35), wife of Ravi Kumar, a resident of Shamsheer Bagh. Earlier Ravi Kumar has gifted a mobile to his wife Deepa, which she lost on December 22. Sacred of scolding from her husband, Deepa ended her life by pouring kerosene on her body and setting ablaze. She died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital.
Electrician falls off flat, killed
Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): An electrician died after accidentally fallen down from fifth floor of a building at Venkateswara colony under Narayanaguda police station limits. According to police, the victim has been identified as J Satyanarayana (52), a resident of Golnaka. He sustained serious injuries after he fell down from an apartment on Sunday evening. He was shifted to hospital where doctors declared brought dead.
Road mishap claims labourer's life
Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): A labourer was killed in a road accident under Patancheruvu police station limits. According to police, the victim has been identified as P Sahadev (26),a resident of Rudraram. He sustained serious injuries on December 22 while taking 'U' turn on his motorcycle at Isnapur Crossroads, where a tipper smashed his vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at on Monday morning. Police registered a case under section 304-A IPC.
APSRTC Deputy Superintendent in ACB net
Nalgonda, Dec 27 (INN): The Anti Corruption Bureau Sleuths on Monday caught red handed APSRTC Devarakonda Deputy Superintendent when accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a person. According to ACB officials, the accused officer was identified as Chintala Venkatesam, who demanded Rs 5,000 as bribe from a person for doing an official favour of processing the file pertaining to the sanction of additional outsourcing labour at Yadagirigutta Depot and also for sanction of pending bills. Chintala Venkatesam was arrested and will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
