Action plan for old city's development: KKR Hyderabad, Dec 30 (INN): Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has advised Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials for draft an action plan for development of Old City of Hyderabad. Speaking at a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the GHMC sports meet, the Chief Minister said that for the development of Hyderabad city was essential to the development of the state. He said that the GHMC officials must ensure that maintenance of roads, proper electricity supply without interruptions, water supply, Nalas and underground cabling should be taken up. He also said that the government is ready to provide the necessary funds to the GHMC.
KKR added that Hyderabad is known throughout the world as a city rich in culture and traditions, apart from being a hub of cultural activities. He said that the people from all over the country envy the moderate climate of the city. The Chief Minister pointed that GHMC concentrates on the collection of property tax to be used for its development and exhorted the people to pay their taxes on time. He was earlier given a warm welcome by Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy.
