Untrained teachers protest at DEO, held Hyderabad, Jan 5(INN): Demanding to solve their long-pending problems, the untrained teachers in the state on Wednesday staged an agitation in front of Directorate of School Education at Lakdikapul in the city. Raising slogans against the state government and Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath, the untrained teachers alleged the government was showing step-motherly treatment against them and failing to address long-pending problems.
'Since 2002 we have been agitating for getting our problems solved. But the government has totally failed to address them,' they alleged. They appealed to government and Education Minister to convene a meeting to solve their problems. When the agitators tried to barge into Directorate of School Education, the police took them into their custody and shifted them to nearby police station.
