GHMC T JAC formed, to fight for T state Hyderabad, Jan 11 (INN): Staff of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Tuesday announced the formation of a Joint Action Committee which would fight for a separate Telangana state. At a meeting held at the Panwar Hall of the GHMC head office at Tank Bund, the newly formed JAC passed a resolution demanding the withdrawal of paramilitary forces from the Osmania University.
The first meeting of the JAC, presided over by KJ Vijay Krishna, also saw another resolution, calling for all GHMC employees and workers to participate in agitations for achieving a separate Telangana state. The JAC elected Tipparthi Yadaiah (Telangana Municipal Employees and Workers Association) as its Chairman, while G Mallikarjun was named the Convenor. The Co-Chairmen have been named as G Shanker, U Gopal, E Venkatesham, and G Chenna Reddy.
