Infant's body parts found, stray dogs suspected Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): In a gruesome find, the parts of an infant's body were found in Mallapur under Nacharam police station limits late on Tuesday. According to Sub Inspector T Ramu, the body parts of the five-to-ten day old infant were found in Venkata Ramana Colony, Mallapur on Tuesday evening. The Sub-inspector said that only the head and left hand of the body were discovered, making identification difficult. Mr Ramu said that the remaining parts of the body may have been eaten up by stray dogs. Police registered a case under section 318 IPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
Woman fatally hits husband on head
Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): An angry woman killed her husband after a dispute on a petty issue under Uppal police station limits late on Tuesday. According to inspector Satyanarayana Raju, R Shiva Kumar (72) was the watchman of a Zilla Parishad High School in Ramanthapur. He was a resident of Anand Nagar, Ramanthapur. Police said that Shiva Kumar had returned home after completing his duties in a drunken state and picked up a fight with his wife. The angry woman hit her husband on the head with a wooden stick, killing him on the spot. Police registered a case under section 302 IPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. Case is under investigation.
Speeding train mows down youth
Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): A 25-year-old youth died in a train accident under Secunderabad railway police station limits. According to the Sub Inspector Khader Shareef, Srisailam Goud (25), son of Satyanarayana, a private employee and resident of Nacharam, Ranga Reddy district was crossing the railway track near Lalapet when the mishap took place. The mishap took place on Tuesday night when the unidentified train hit Srisailam. He died on the spot. Police registered a case under section 174 CRPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
Failed love affair drives student to suicide
Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): A 19-year-old student committed suicide after allegedly being ditched by her lover under SR Nagar police station limits on Tuesday. According to the Sub Inspector Koteswar Rao, P Shobha Rani (19), daughter of Kadirappa was a resident of Yellareddyguda, Ameerpet. She was a native of Chittoor district. According to the suicide note found on the person of Shobha Rani, the person she was in love with had ditched her. She took the extreme step of hanging herself from a ceiling fan. Police registered a case and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem.
