Kidnappers gang nabbed, reveal links to Dawood Hyderabad, Jan 27 (INN): Task Force sleuths on Thursday claimed to have broken a major kidnapping racket with the arrest of four notorious criminals at Langar Houz in the city. According to police, the four arrested accused, Md Ibrahim alias Baba Shot, Mirza Asad Baig alias Sohail, Md Imran alias Hathodi Imran and Sikander Bin Sayeed were part of a major kidnapping and extortion racket, with the ring leader having links with notorious mafia don Dawood Ibrahim.
The four accused were arrested near Goodluck Hotel, Bapu Nagar, Lunger Houz in the city. Two hand swords, one dagger and one cell phone were also recovered from their possession. The police also said that the accused persons were recently arrested on charges of murder in the Chandrayangutta and Golconda police stations respectively. Many cases of kidnappings were pending against them under various police stations.
The police said that the four were followers of one Abdul Qayyum Bhai alias Bhai Don of Mumbai. This Bhai Don is said to be the 'guru' of the notorious criminal Ali Bhai, who is himself well known for his kidnapping acts. 'Bhai Don' is a Mumbai native and was brought to Chanchalguda Jail in October, 2010 for being involved in a kidnapping case.
The four got familiar to this don from Mumbai, who is renowned for being involved in many big offences like kidnappings. He has made good money by extorting from the families of victims. Bhai Don is also said to be involved in serial bomb blast case of Mumbai City.
During their interactions, Bhai Don told the four accused that that he is maintaining a gang at Mumbai which resorts to kidnappings for ransom and very shortly after releasing from Chanchalguda Jail, he is planning to form a team for doing kidnappings of bigwigs and their children.
As the accused were looking for making easy money after getting out of jail, they showed their eagerness to join this proposed gang. Bhai Don accepted to take them in his gang and offered to give them a good share from the ransoms. The Mumbai criminal also got knowledge about the city elite from the four and hatched conspiracies for kidnapping them.
After release from jail, the four began to carry out Bhai Don's orders and started to look for open lands in hilly areas to keep the hostages after kidnapping them. They also bought the swords and daggers at Kishan Bagh, Bahadurpura area and kept the weapons. The accused were also in the process of buying vehicles to be used for the kidnappings when they were nabbed.
